ResumeTune (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an AI-powered resume optimization service available at resumetune.app. We help job seekers optimize their resumes for specific job descriptions.
2. Data We Collect
- Resume content: The text extracted from your uploaded PDF resume. Processed in memory, not stored on our servers.
- Job description: The text you paste into the job description field. Processed in memory, not stored.
- Usage data: Number of analyses performed, stored as a cookie in your browser only.
- Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe and Telegram. We never see or store your card details.
- Feedback: If you submit feedback, we collect your message, feedback type, and optionally your email address.
- Technical data: Browser type, language preference, IP address (for fraud prevention).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To analyze your resume against a job description using Claude AI (Anthropic).
- To process payments via Stripe and Telegram Stars.
- To track your free usage limit (cookie-based, stored only in your browser).
- To improve our service based on your feedback.
4. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Resume and job description text is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy
- Stripe / Telegram: Handle all payment processing. Your payment data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
- Vercel: Hosting provider. May collect server logs including IP addresses.
5. Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- resumetune_uses — stores how many free analyses you've used. Essential for the service to function. Expires in 30 days.
- resumetune_plan — stores whether you have an active paid plan. Essential. Expires in 30 days.
- resumetune_cookie_consent — records your cookie consent choice.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Data Retention
Your resume and job description are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after the analysis is complete. Analysis history is stored only in your browser's localStorage and is under your full control. Feedback submissions are retained for product improvement purposes.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
